Activities:

The purpose of the laboratory is the formation of a holistic scientific picture of the religious situation in Kazakhstan.

The tasks of the laboratory are to systematize the methodological apparatus in the study of religious phenomena; determination of priorities in the formation of a position of interfaith consent; development of a strategy for training specialists in the specialty "Religious Studies"

The laboratory determines the main types of scientific activity:

The research laboratory conducts sociological research in the regions of Kazakhstan among university students. The aim of the research is to study the attitude of youth to religion.

As part of the laboratory, the opening of a museum of religious studies was initiated. In the implementation of this project was attended by undergraduate students, undergraduates of the Department of Philosophy and Theory of Culture.

The museum began to function on September 4, 2017.

The museum features 25 exhibits reflecting the confessional diversity of the Karaganda region.

The main results of the research laboratory:

Key perspectives and laboratory work plans: 1. Holding a republican online conference of students, schoolchildren on issues of interfaith, interethnic harmony (November 2020) 2. Conducting a regional student competition of scientific works devoted to the problems of tolerance, tolerance 3. Development of a working curriculum of the elective course "Worldviews of the culture of tolerance" (October 2019) 4. Preparation and release of the training manual "Worldviews of the culture of tolerance" (September 2020) 5. Preparation of the collective monograph "Tolerance and Ethnic Consolidation in the Educational Formats of Kazakhstan" (November 2020) 6. Development of guidelines for improving the humanitarian component in the educational sector.
